Nisshinbo Micro Devices Inc.(NISD)released the NL9620 series, the first precision instrumentation amplifier from a Japanese manufacturer for industrial applications with ±2.3 V to ±18 V operation.
In measuring instruments for industrial equipment, the use of dedicated sensors is common due to the need for more accurate monitoring. Accordingly, “instrumentation amplifiers” that provide excellent accuracy and reliability are essential even when handling very small differential input signals. The product is the first instrumentation amplifier to be commercialized in Japan, which had previously depended on products from outside Japan in this field. By combining our own process, trimming, and packaging technologies with the circuit design technology for high-precision operational amplifiers that we have cultivated over many years, we have successfully achieved the highest level of performance.
Designed to operate stably even in noisy and harsh measurement environments, this product achieves a high common-mode rejection ratio (greater than or equal to 110 dB, typical value 130 dB at G = 100) and excellent EMC performance. Its low input offset voltage (max. 125 µV) and low offset voltage drift (max. 1 µV/°C*2) also enable highly accurate measurements. Furthermore, it supports a wide supply voltage range of ±2.3 V to ±18 V for flexible integration into a variety of instruments. Gain can be adjusted from 1x to a maximum of 10,000x with a single external resistor, simplifying design and helping to make customers’ products more accurate and reduce development effort.
We also provide technical support after adoption, allowing our customers to use the product with confidence.

*2 EMP-8-AN package
The package is the small VSP-8-AF (2.8 × 2.9 × 1.2 mm). The EMP-8-AN (3.9 × 5.0 × 1.65 mm) is planned for development.
This product achieves the high common-mode signal rejection ratio of 130 dB typ. (min. 110 dB) at G = 100 by using high-precision trimming technology. A comparison between a typical competitive product and this product is shown in the figure below. For large fluctuations in the common-mode input voltage, the output voltage fluctuations of the instrumentation amplifier can be minimized, resulting in high CMRR performance. This enables stable operation even in environments with high common-mode signal noise, contributing to higher precision in customers’ products.
The high EMC performance of this product contributes to reduced rework risk and stable operation of applications, making it suitable for use in industrial equipment sensors and in harsh environments such as factories with confidence.
